WHAT IS PRAYER?

 

If there is one thing for certain, it is that we as human beings are designed to live in relationship. We were created to live in relationship with one another, but most importantly, with God. At Christ the Redeemer, we want to assist you in cultivating your relationships with one another and with a God who loves you and desires to be in relationship with you. Ultimately, we can develop and deepen our relationship with God through prayer.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us in paragraph 2564 that "Christian prayer is a ... relationship between God and man in Christ. It is the action of God and of man, springing forth from both the Holy Spirit and ourselves, wholly directed to the Father ..."
